Patient Billing

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX. If you have any questions regarding your account, or would like to make a payment over the phone, please contact us at Highlands Ranch Dental Care (303) 470 - 0017. Usually, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings. Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage. We will also send you a monthly statement, and most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment. After your insurance has been paid, any remaining balance is your responsibility. If you would like to make arrangements for a monthly payment plan, this must be done before the actual procedure.

Please note: Payment is due at the time of service.

As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance company and track claims. Please keep us informed of any changes to your insurance. No matter what your insurance coverage may be, you are responsible for the fees charged by our office. Most insurance companies should respond to the claim within four to six weeks. Any remaining cost is your responsibility.

We kindly request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid a missed appointment fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept payment through CareCredit and other healthcare financing services. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes, we work with most major dental insurance providers. We will verify your benefits, file claims on your behalf, and help you maximize your insurance coverage. Our team will provide a detailed estimate of your out-of-pocket costs before beginning treatment so there are no surprises.

What if I don't have dental insurance?

We believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care. For patients without insurance, we offer flexible payment plans and work with third-party financing companies like CareCredit and Lending Club. We can also provide a courtesy discount for payment in full at the time of service for larger treatment plans. Our team will work with you to find a payment solution that fits your budget.

Do you offer financing options?

Yes, we partner with several healthcare financing companies that offer special promotional rates, including interest-free periods for qualified applicants. CareCredit and other providers offer flexible payment plans with terms ranging from 6 to 60 months. Our administrative team can help you apply and get approved, often within minutes, so you can begin your treatment right away.

Will you provide a cost estimate before treatment?

Absolutely. We believe in complete transparency when it comes to costs. Before any treatment begins, we'll provide a detailed treatment plan that includes all fees and an estimate of what your insurance will cover (if applicable) and your expected out-of-pocket expenses. We encourage you to ask questions about costs at any time, and we'll never proceed without your approval.

Can I use my FSA or HSA for dental treatment?

Yes, most dental procedures are eligible expenses for both Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). We can provide itemized receipts and documentation you need to submit for reimbursement. Using these pre-tax dollars can help you save significantly on your dental care costs.

What is your cancellation and missed appointment policy?

We understand that schedule changes happen. We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer that time to another patient who may need care. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Do you offer payment plans for major dental work?

Yes, we offer in-house payment plans for extensive treatment. Depending on your treatment needs, we can arrange monthly payments that work with your budget. For larger cases such as full mouth reconstruction, implants, or smile makeovers, we'll create a customized financial arrangement. We also work with third-party financing companies that specialize in healthcare lending and often provide better terms for major dental investments.
